Jewish Roma Walking Tours - Catacombs of Vigna Randanini.
★★★★★
The Jewish catacombs tour with Micaela was truly something special. It was so unique, a genuine once-in-a-lifetime experience that will stitch itself into our memories forever. From the very first second it was obvious Micaela is a world-class tour guide in terms of being the very best of the very best. Her technical knowledge was extraordinary: translating the wording and images, explaining the ages, burial techniques, the likely backgrounds of the people buried there, and even the physical conditions of the catacombs themselves. Totally unparalleled. And then there’s Micaela’s warmth, charisma, energy and sense of humour. Micaela allows you to see the Jewish community of Rome through her eyes, through her life, her lived experience, and the extraordinary depth of her historical knowledge. Our kids absolutely loved it and couldn’t stop talking about how brilliant the day was, They were as animated and happy as we’ve seen them this whole trip.
