Via di S. Gregorio, 30, 00186 Rome Italy
The commercial, political and religious center of ancient Rome, which features the Arch of Septimus Severus, Temple of Saturn, Arch of Titus and the House of the Vestals.
On the hill, beside the Romulean huts, arose the aristocratic residences of the Republic and then the luxurious imperial palaces. A walk in the park unfolds between myth, history and art, increasing the fascination of a site already well-known to travellers on the Grand Tour. Foro romano Vista do Palatino Too much to see

We prebooked tickets that included an audio guide. We found the best entry was 4, there were less people, you enter via Trajans forum- which was really quiet. Then go through the underpass to reach the Roman Forum and Palentine Hill. This place is massive, take your time and if you have the audio guide it works very well when you have the map open as the guide will automatically start up when you walk close to one of the places of interest. It is really worth doing.

The queue would have taken all day to get in???
★☆☆☆☆
Visited colosseum and straight in at the time specified. Popped to here as it was included. The queue was 250 people plus long. I counted. Directed to second entrance. Only ONE bag scanner working. We did not move for 20 minutes. Then directed to third quieter entrance. It was not. Over 200 people again. We decided to give up. My partner has injured ankles and could not stand around in a queue that seemed to never move. In the summer the waiting must be unbearable in the heat. The gardens themselves look lovely but from my experience the entry process needs a serious review. I’m sure if I had got in it would be 5/5. Alas. We did not.
