We arrived at The Pantheon before 2:30pm on the 14th February. There were so many people at the piazza. We took a few photos from the outside then we queued for the tickets. Cash payment has a shorter line (only in line for ± 15 minutes) & much faster than paying by credit cards (using self-service machines). Tickets €5 per pax (for 18 & above). Free for foreigners under 17 years old. They didn't check your passport at the cash payment counter due to long lines for tickets. Remove your hats when entering the basilica. It was amazing to see the free-standing dome. I remembered that, The Pantheon was one of the examples of amazing architecture taught when I studied architecture. Managed to see it in real life was so awe inspiring. Mostly, we will spend 30-45 minutes inside the basilica.

The exterior structure alone is enough to impress. We were not sure if we were going to be able to squeeze in a visit to the Pantheon so we did not buy tickets in advance. We were surprised to find that it was easy to stand in line and purchase a ticket. It seemed that as visitors left, more visitors were admitted. There was a fairly long line when we arrived, but the line moved quickly and we were able to enter. The massive unsupported dome is a must see on your visit to Rome.
